john mccain is another guy who thinks the american people were misled about benghazi. he accused secretary clinton about not being honest again today. >> there are many questions that are unanswered. and the answers, frankly, that you have given this morning are not satisfactory to me. >> strong words from senator mccain. he must have a very detailed question for secretary clinton if he wants to get some answers. >> the american people deserve to know answers, and they certainly don't deserve false answers. and the answers that were given to the american people on september 15th by the ambassador of the united nations were false. >> no, same old question about ambassador rice. here is a reminder to senator mccain. every senator, including john mccain, knows the answer to the question about susan rice. ambassador rice went on the sunday shows with talking points approved by the cia. the cia informed members of congress about it two months ago. democratic senator dick durbin of illinois wanted to make clear what happens when intelligence information is still evolving. >> and i'd li

paul ryan there, very charming. he voted with john boehner on the fiscal cliff negotiation indicating that maybe he is in the conciliatory wing of the republican party. how do you figure? >> well, paul ryan was there. i was at that conference this morning. one of the best things, one of the most cheered up, the attendees the most was seeing one young star after another, ted cruz, the new republican senator from texas, tom cotton, congressman from arkansas and there are a lot of young, attractive, interesting conservatives and they don't agree on everything. i think there is a lot of internal debate going on -- i know there is a lot of internal debate and public debate at the conference. what do have you to compromise on? where do you have to drought lines and fight? i thought it was healthy. they are not in the fetal position, could youering or lashing out. they are trying to think about how to fight president obama, where to compromise, and hoto develop their own positive governing agenda, going forward. >> >> geraldo: president obama will be appearing with hillary clinton tomorrow o

[laughter] yes and no. politically, republicans distanced themselves from george w. bush because it was the thing to do. numbers do not lie. he became very unpopular. parties do not have to embrace figures and politicians to become unpopular. my view is that a lot of distress over bush's domestic agenda from which they fled in 2005. it had been an ancillary result of failure to defend iraq and have a favorable recognition. >> what might have been a successful policy agenda? >> i think the entire country stopped listening to president bush which would be good for the country when it lost faith that he was managing the war effectively.
